adidas has announced the opening of its first flagship store in the region.

The new adidas store in the Dubai Mall symbolizes the beginning of a new era in sport – an era that is embedded in digital advancements and sustainable practices and embodies the future of retail.

The unique space, which spans nearly 16,000 square meters, aims to overcome the traditional shopping journey, improve consumer-brand interaction, and stimulate creativity in various store activations.

Care has been taken throughout the space to respect and protect the environment by using a wide range of sustainable and responsible materials, including recycled plastic, foam and textiles. As the most sustainable adidas store in the region to date, the store is Gold LEED certified, an internationally recognized certification system for environmentally friendly buildings that guarantees that the project has been designed and implemented at the highest level of sustainability. In line with the brand’s long-term commitment to sustainability, the flagship serves as a comprehensive experience where consumers can find sustainable product highlights and learn through digital and analogue experiences.

The adidas flagship store in the Dubai Mall offers innovative digital signage technologies such as digital blankets and a digital shoe wall. It offers an uninterrupted browsing experience that immerses the shopper and enables a smartly tailored store experience that blurs the browsing

The adidas app enables a first-class shop experience with a real-time product scan and a try-on function called “Bring it to Me”. You can check their size, request the product you want, and have it delivered while browsing the store. Customers can also book services through the app and register for in-store events.

The store offers a breakthrough customer experience with interactive locker room mirrors that use RFID technology to identify products and provide information. Buyers can request different sizes and colors without leaving the room. Avant-garde technology integrates customers into the brand’s internal process, allowing them to search inventory, sizes and different products through in-store smart mirrors and immersive screens.

The RFID Smart Fitting Room experience is complemented by the immersive changing rooms where consumers can see what they look like in a real-life scenario by selecting the changing room environment on a touch screen.

The MakerLab is located in the center of the business and offers an unparalleled offering in the region that allows customers to demonstrate their individuality by customizing their products.

This space offers a gateway to creativity in all its forms and is regularly activated by specialist designers who offer in-store activations. Main activities include customization through patches, laser engraving, printing, embroidery and more.

To create a one stop shop for all sneaker needs, Crep Protect, the London based sneaker service and market innovator in the shoe care industry, will be offering a range of in-store services to keep consumers’ sneaker box fresh. adidas is committed to promoting the local sneakerhead community who can come together and share their universal love for all things kicks and culture.

Shoppers will find the brand’s best in sports and style, including soccer and performance athletic apparel and shoes, as well as the latest Originals designs and collaborations, including YEEZY, adidas by Stella McCartney, Y-3 and IVY PARK.

The store will also introduce the region’s first dedicated outdoor collection for hiking and trail running adventurers. The space will host a dedicated area for women and children within the flagship and a DXB shop for all of Dubai’s exclusive products only available in this shop.

The children’s area will have an interactive area for soccer and basketball games that will provide an engaging sports experience for young consumers.
