As part of a new collaboration with Marvel, Adidas has unveiled a bold new design for the Predator Freak.
The Adidas x Marvel X-Men collection, inspired by Marvel X-Men superheroes, combines the characteristics of Wolverine with the innovations and specifications of the Predator franchise.
The Predator Freak pack update includes new blocks, colors, and graphics inspired by Wolverine and his enhanced physical abilities. The new update will be worn by leading Adidas athletes like Weston McKennie and Lena Oberdorf.
As part of the adidas x Marvel X-Men collection, a selection of renowned Marvel artists have also created a number of individual player sketches that bring the superhuman football qualities of Adidas athletes to life in comic form.
The Adidas x Marvel X-Men collection is a design update, meaning the technology is identical to the basic inline models of the Predator Freak.
Commenting on the collaboration, Bruno Marrant, Senior Product Manager at Adidas Football said: “This is a really exciting opportunity for us to demonstrate the superhuman qualities of control and speed that unite some of the best soccer players in the world and some of the best -loved X- Men characters.
“The designs are bold and playful, using primary colors that instantly bring the world of Marvel to life while also capturing the style of the Predator franchise. We hope that the new package inspires our Adidas athletes to perform more superhumously on the pitch. “
Originally launched in January 2021, Predator Freak is a razor-sharp silhouette with an upper that employs Adidas’ own Demonskin rubber tips to give players a better grip. A 360-degree wrap construction blurs the lines between the upper and outsole for complete ball control while the
