Biden Sparks Outcry After Calling Trump Supporters ‘Garbage’
The president later issued a press release backtracking on his feedback.
WASHINGTON—President Joe Biden is dealing with criticism for calling supporters of former President Trump “rubbish” throughout a digital speech on Oct. 29.
Biden’s feedback had been made throughout a Zoom name with Voto Latino, a nonprofit aimed toward registering Latinos to vote, through which Biden referenced humorist Tony Hinchcliffe’s remarks about Puerto Rico throughout Trump’s rally at Madison Sq. Backyard in New York Metropolis earlier this week.
“Simply the opposite day, a speaker at his rally known as Puerto Rico a floating island of rubbish,” Biden mentioned.
