Blank Gameweek 29 in the Fantasy Premier League has always been a low-scoring affair with only four games showing an average record of just 25 points.
The following international break of course made the managers excited about GW30 to collect some badly needed points.
There will be plenty of opportunities to score a strong goal even with attractive games like Chelsea and Manchester United’s home games against West Brom and Brighton.
Leeds are also enjoying a welcoming home game with a struggling Sheffield United, while Tottenham will be equally upbeat about their trip to Newcastle.
This round also has some major clashes with Manchester City and Liverpool visiting Leicester City and Arsenal.
Here are some tips to guide you through GW30.
CAPTAIN – HARRY KANE | TOTTENHAM | 11.6M.
As if we needed further proof of Harry Kane’s current form, he managed to extend his impressive international record by two more goals in the two games he played during his international break.
His 17 goals and 13 assists this season have cemented his status as an FPL big hitter. He has the best ratio of minutes per goal and participation this season as well .
Kane’s most recent form in the league is also encouraging. Four goals and two assists in the last four GWs make for a good read, while he’s also got five big chances and ten shots from the box during that time.
The game is its biggest selling point, however, as Newcastle is in disarray and has conceded 24 goals so far by 2021 – only Southampton has leaked more.
The best strikers are merciless and Kane has given everything this season against teams in the lower half of the table with 11 goals and nine assists in 14 games.
BRUNO FERNANDES (11.5 m) remains at the heart of United’s attack and is always on the verge of a major challenge. He created most of the opportunities and great opportunities this season.
RAPHINHA (5.7 m) is undoubtedly the main playmaker for a bubbly Leeds. No one has more than his 11 assists attempted in the last four GWs and he faces a vulnerable Sheffield United defense.
TO GET ONE
DOMINIC CALVERT-LEWIN | EVERTON | 7.6 million
Having returned to his best since returning from injury, Dominic Calvert-Lewin has seen four big chances in the past four GW. Against GWley he scored goals again in GW28 and even impressed with England in international action. Crystal Palace has proven weak against air strikes and this is where the Everton striker is at his best.
ONE TO AVOID
LEWIS DUNK | BRIGHTON | 5.2M.
The Brighton defense has impressed lately with Lewis Dunk at the forefront but their goal is sure to come under more pressure in the coming weeks. A trip to Old Trafford this weekend is the first of three tough games in a row before a difficult end to the season.
ANTONIO RUDIGER | CHELSEA | 4.7 million
Antonio Rüdiger has proven to be one of the regulars in a stubborn Chelsea defense under Thomas Tuchel. The Blues are good value for money for consistent points and their German center-back is a cheap way to defend, having clean five clean sheets in the last six games.
