To disturb. Breaking out. Change the game. So Puma plans to sort things out and in 2021.
Puma’s history is full of almost 75 years of world records, premieres and individual cases, from Abebe Bikila to Bill Rodgers to Sabrina Mockenhaupt to Usain Bolt.
The brand is now looking to create further changes from the most sought-after marathon finish lines to local running communities.
They’ve redesigned products and developed new technology to make it easy to run. Years of research and testing have looked at five new key styles – Deviate, Deviate Elite, Velocity, Liberate, and Eternity – all of which feature our state-of-the-art supercritical foam technology, NITRO.
“With Puma Running, our goal is to create an effortless run for runners,” said Erin Longin, global director of Puma’s running and training business. “Our new running shoes are equipped with our most innovative technologies such as NITRO foam. This makes the shoes extremely light and responsive, so you can use less energy and walk comfortably to reach your goals. “
The new Puma Running range includes specially developed designs for women runners, including a brand new women’s model, most recently developed for the female foot in all four versions. Puma believes women are the future of running, which is why we have hired some of the sport’s best distance athletes – Molly Seidel, Gesa Krause, Aisha Praught-Leer, Fiona O’Keefe and Taylor Werner.
“The more we researched our consumer, the more we learned that the idea of change resonated with runners,” Longin said. “Runners always strive for change in order to improve themselves and the common good. That’s why we came across the concept of SPARK CHANGE to give meaning and energy to everything
We run. “
In addition to the five new styles, Puma Running provides the spark for a new generation of runners and involves the running community through targeted initiatives. In cooperation with Women Win and their athletes, Puma donates to foundations around the world that are committed to promoting women in sport. The Puma Running Spark Change Fund will help support charities in greatest need to achieve greater gender equality in running.
The Deviate, Deviate Elite, Velocity, Liberate and Eternity styles will be available March 15 at PUMA.com, PUMA stores and select retailers worldwide.
