The pastor of a mega-church in Florida has warned parishioners not to take the Covid-19 vaccine, claiming it was part of a plan to prepare the “structure for the Antichrist”.
Guillermo Maldonado, a Trump supportive pastor and self-appointed apostle, also said the coronavirus vaccine will “change your DNA.”
“Folks, I want you to look at me,” Maldonado said in a video captured by Right Wing Watch. “This is exactly what happens with Covid-19. You are preparing the structure for the Antichrist. As? The vaccine. They will require you to have the vaccine in your passport or you will not be able to travel. Because they prepare the way. “
“The vaccines are supposed to change your DNA. They should track you down. Do not [take] the vaccine. Believe in the blood of Jesus. Believe in divine immunity. “
This is not the first time Mr Maldonado has urged his supporters not to heed official guidelines on coronavirus. In March, he mocked those who skipped Sunday services, saying that they gave in in fear of the pandemic while suggesting that those who did attend services were true and faithful believers.
“I just want to tell you, I am so proud of you that you will not let the devil and fear cripple you,” said Mr. Maldonado to those gathered at King Jesus’ international ministry Miami. “Do you think God would bring his people into his home to be contagious with the virus? Of course not … no virus can stand in the presence of God. “
The US has the highest number of Covid-19 cases in the world with over 14 million cases including 278,000 deaths.
