WrestleMania 37: How Entry Music Can Help Shape Matches in WWE

With WrestleMania 37 only days away, WWE Superstar Mark Andrews, who is also a musician, has spoken about the importance of entrance music and its impact on ring appearances.

The WWE sports culture pop culture extravaganza, which will take place next Saturday and Sunday evening, can be broadcast live via the WWE network in the MENA region.

Andrews, who has appeared on shows like 205 Live and WWE NXT, is a former tag team champion and he admits that every Superstar dreams of going to WrestleMania, WWE’s biggest event of the year.

“I definitely thought of the big WrestleMania entrance,” says Andrews. “The band is playing, the fireworks are going on, everyone is going crazy and I’m sure every wrestler was thinking the same thing because this is the big stage, the biggest stage of them all. It’s the high point of the year in wrestling and the high point of some people’s careers.

“Whether it’s Triple H in Motorhead or The Undertaker in Limp Bizkit, everyone wants this big gig and there’s nothing cooler than a rock band playing your opening music. Mixing live music and live wrestling on the biggest stage of all there is nothing like that and every wrestler dreams of this big WrestleMania gig. “

Combining his wrestling career with a passion for music as part of the pop-punk Junior outfit, Andrews is in a unique position as he plays his own entrance music, which means he is well positioned to discuss the implications that this can have on performance.

“I think entry music is one of the most important things for any wrestler in terms of their overall storyline. It makes you excited before a match and I think whatever upsets you when you go to the ring is going to upset the fans too.

“In the past I have dealt with music that I didn’t like or that didn’t appeal to me. So when you get to the ring you feel flat. With my current music, which I am obviously very biased towards when I literally sing the song, I get super excited. Before I get to the curtain I’m excited and my nerves are high, I feel the adrenaline and when I get in the ring it feels like a huge party for the fans.

“I’m sure every wrestler has their own equivalent of whether it feels like a party or whether it feels dead serious. For example, the Undertaker’s music is one of the most serious in the wrestling industry, so it feels weird when he comes into the ring with something else.

“I just think the music is so important because it’s a reason to be excited about the game. For me personally, it drives me crazy and I feel at home in the ring. “
