Another American arrested in Turks and Caicos, facing 12-year prison sentence

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — One other American man is in custody in Turks and Caicos after he allegedly introduced ammunition to the British abroad territory.
Based on the Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Pressure, 31-year-old Tyler Scott Wenrich, of Richmond, Virginia, was charged with possession of ammunition on Tuesday.
Police mentioned Wenrich traveled to the island of Grand Turk on a cruise ship and, whereas going by a safety checkpoint, it was found that he had ammunition in his possession.
Whereas U.S. incidents involving ammunition in airport safety checkpoints often end in a positive, Turks and Caicos has legal guidelines that might end in 12-year minimal jail sentences.
Wenrich is the vice chairman of Emergency Providers Options, Inc., which relies in Virginia. The corporate’s CEO, Blanton Marchese, confirmed to Nexstar’s WRIC Friday that Wenrich relies within the Richmond space.

The information comes after an analogous incident involving a person from Oklahoma, Ryan Watson. He was touring to Turks and Caicos along with his spouse on a birthday journey this month, and was stopped by airport safety as he was attempting to depart the nation. Ammunition was present in his carry-on baggage.
The household contends the ammo was left there by mistake, and advised NewsNation it had been missed by TSA on their means out of the U.S.
Watson can be being held in Turks and Caicos awaiting his June 7 courtroom date, NewsNation studies. Each males face a doable 12-year sentence.
